My Founding Story
Monday came, and the school run could not proceed due to the severe sickness of my 12-year-old son. He just could not be out of the house without being sick.
We spent that week in and out of hospital and doctors offices. He lost weight. The longest he could sleep was three hours, and the rest of the time, he was hauling with headache pain. I still hear his piercing cry in my head.
The feeling of helplessness was overwhelming. Doctors were busy ruling out any medical conditions by applying antibiotics and adult doses of painkillers. Nothing was making any difference.
This was my son’s subconscious reaction to the news that his Head of Year Teacher would address the children who bullied him, one by one, in his office.
My son was in his first year of Senior School. He was being brave, open, accepting, ignoring provocative behaviour, yet that was not enough to bring his resilience out. There was a link missing in all the advice and theories on forgiving and avoiding aggressive people.
A therapist came and used some unconventional methods that calmed my son down and stopped the headaches. I was fascinated as I observed their work together and, after six weeks, witnessed my son going back to school fully dressed up for World Book Day.
I was curious how one therapist could reach the root of the problem so effortlessly and deliver spectacular changes in such a short time. I made the decision to learn those skills. I saw immense value in knowing how to help my children when life gets challenging beyond the ability of self-regulation at any given moment of their development.
I have completed a Cognitive Hypnotherapy Diploma together with Neuro-linguistic Programming. I am now finishing the Master Practitioner of Cognitive Hypnotherapy.
Here I am at your service, ready to share all the knowledge I have gathered and applied with encouraging results.
